Breeze and Charlie Mack go back over 20 years. They started working together on the Philly hip hop scene in the early 1980’s and have remained in contact ever since. On December 19th an invitation only surprise birthday party was held in Charlie’s honor by Ra These pictures illustrate some of the highlights and candid moments of the event, which was emceed by Alex Thomas. The night’s festivities included commentary and performances by Will Smith, comedian Tommy Too Smoov, MC Breeze, Big John the Beat Box, singer Neesh, Philadelphia radio personality Colby Colb, Darryl Shuler, Steve Brody, Walt Reeder Jr. and Sonny Black. Attendee’s included Boris Kodjoe, Dana Dane, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Lady B among a host of others. DJ Baby DST was on the wheels. A short video comedy including 3D animation and other video effects produced by MC Breeze was presented to Charlie and shown at the party. The movie chronicles parts of Charlie’s life using pictures of Charlie, his family and friends. A special rendition of “Reasons” is performed unknowingly by Charlie in the movie.
